Key Rules
- • No working under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- • No possession of alcohol or illegal drugs on company premises
- • No appearance or behavior suggesting impairment
- • Applies to all employees, contractors, and agency workers
Equipment Safety
- • Testing: Random or targeted screening may be required for safety-critical roles or suspected impairment
- • Searches: Lockers, desks, and personal belongings may be searched if there are reasonable grounds
- • Confiscation: Alcohol or Drugs found will be retained or destroyed and may be used in disciplinary action
Support for Staff
- • If you have a drug or alcohol problem, seek help — we will support recovery efforts
- • Disciplinary action may be paused if treatment is undertaken
- • Raise concerns about co-workers confidentially with your manager
- • Bring only prescribed medication needed for personal use; be aware of side-effects
Non-compliance
Breaches of this Policy will be treated seriously and may result in disciplinary action, up to dismissal.
